Hello, my name is Rachel Nelson and I believe everyone has a unique story to tell. If you’ve ever felt your story wasn’t the easiest to tell, I invite you to share it with me. Together we can navigate the unique challenges you have faced or are currently dealing with. My goal is to provide you with the tools and strategies to overcome any obstacle you are dealing with and to help you embrace your personal growth. I feel the best counseling process is through the power of connection and authenticity. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of my clients so, they can be their true selves.
I am finishing my master’s in clinical mental health counseling at New Mexico Highland’s University. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in psychology in 2021 at New Mexico Highland’s University. I also received my Associate in Criminal Justice at San Juan College in 2019. I think there's always more to learn in life and I consider myself a lifelong learner.
Whenever I’m not at work or studying, you’ll find me cheering loudly from the sidelines for my two favorite athletes. Family time is essential for me and I make sure to dedicate time to making memories with my loved ones. I also enjoy staying active and I ensure I make time for self-care. I believe we need to fill our cups first before we can help others fill theirs.
